Overview of The Moon
The Moon is the headline zone added in the July 2026 update for Drill Blocks for Brainrots. It sits above standard underground floors as a dedicated biome with higher block HP, lunar visuals, and a spawn table centered on Moon Shadow and other rare-to-mythic units. Players who outgrow mid-game worlds but are not yet ready for full Primordial farming treat The Moon as the best ROI zone in the current meta.

How to Unlock The Moon
The Moon portal typically appears after you:
- Clear the deepest sustainable floors in your current world (usually World 3–4 depending on rebirth count).
- Own a drill at least Cyber-tier with power upgrades that break floor blocks in under one minute.
- Pay any cash or crystal fee at the portal NPC if prompted — costs scale with rebirth level.
If blocks inside The Moon take several minutes per side tile, return to power upgrades before committing long sessions.
Moon Shadow & Key Drops
Moon Shadow is the signature brainrot of this zone. Base CPS ranks it in the upper Legendary to Mythic band before mutations. Pair it with Starfall or Bloodmoon traits during events for plot slots that survive multiple rebirths.

Lunar Bonuses While Drilling
While inside The Moon, players report passive bonuses such as slightly faster block break speed on floor tiles and improved rare spawn visibility during Bloodmoon events. These modifiers stack with drill multipliers and artifact bonuses from the artifacts system.
Recommended Loadout
- Drill: Obsidian-tier or higher for comfortable floor clears; Cyber minimum for entry.
- Rebirth: 3+ recommended for sustainable re-unlock costs after rebirth resets.
- Plot: Replace vanilla Legendaries with Moon Shadow or trait Epics before idle farming.
- Artifacts: Equip drill-power artifacts found in Moon blocks before CPS artifacts.

Farming Strategy
