What Rebirth Does
Rebirth is the prestige system at the heart of Drill Blocks for Brainrots. You reset most run-specific progress — cash, drills, sometimes zone access — in exchange for permanent multipliers that make every future run faster. Stacked rebirths separate casual players from accounts that hit Primordial zones in days instead of weeks.
Think of rebirth as compounding interest: an early rebirth feels painful, but the fifth or tenth pays for itself in dramatically higher CPS and better rare drop rates. Read the full rebirth overview for multiplier tables updated per patch.
Typical Rebirth Requirements
Exact numbers shift with GoldenClover Studios balance patches, but rebirth gates usually combine:
- Total cash earned or current balance threshold
- Drill power minimum
- Specific brainrot rarities placed or owned (e.g., one Epic, one Legendary)
- Rebirth count scaling — each rebirth demands more than the last
Open the in-game rebirth menu to see live requirements. Cross-check with our rebirth calculator to see if your next rebirth is mathematically worth it versus one more drill tier.
What Resets vs What Stays
Usually resets: cash on hand, drill ownership (back to starter), unplaced inventory brainrots, temporary boosts, and sometimes zone unlock progress.
Usually keeps: rebirth multiplier total, Robux purchases (VIP, game passes), cosmetic items, and occasionally placed brainrot levels depending on patch notes.
Always read the confirmation popup before rebirthing. One misclick with a Lava-mutated Legendary still in inventory can hurt if inventory clears.
Optimal Rebirth Timing
Rebirth too early and you stall in the post-reset grind. Rebirth too late and you leave multiplier gains on the table. Use this framework:
- Can you rebirth and return to your current deepest zone within one focused session?
- Will the new multiplier at least double effective CPS within an hour of rebirthing?
- Have you exhausted drill upgrades that do not require rebirth-locked tiers?
If all three are yes, rebirth now. If the deepest zone becomes unreachable post-reset, farm one more drill tier first. Pair this with the best drill path so recovery is predictable.
Post-Rebirth Recovery Plan
Immediately after rebirth:
- Replay tutorial shortcuts if the game offers post-rebirth cash bonuses.
- Buy the cheapest drill that restores acceptable block break speed.
- Fill plot with any starter brainrots — speed beats rarity during recovery.
- Push to mid zones before hunting mutations again.
- Reinvest every coin into drill power until you match pre-rebirth depth.
Higher rebirth counts unlock global drop rate bonuses. Once recovery takes under 30 minutes, you are ready for the next rebirth cycle.
Common Rebirth Mistakes
- Rebirthing with rares in inventory — Place or secure units first.
- Ignoring plot expansion — Low CPS after rebirth often means empty pedestals, not weak multipliers.
- Chasing cosmetics mid-cycle — Skins do not help zone recovery.
- Skipping events post-rebirth — Trait events accelerate recovery massively.
